![]() | Han RAKELSThe NetherlandsDr.Han Rakels (PhD - Delft University of Technology – Faculty of Applied Sciences) is experienced in leading, managing and facilitating development processes all around the Globe. His contributions to capacity development concentrate on creating inspired changes, whereby people, organizations and communities/societies access innate needs for dignity, meaning and community and take actions they care about. His current work is on institutional development, whereby the potentials and capacities of people are of central focus. He conducts training and consultancies for purposes of vision building, strategizing, policy development, leadership development, managing and facilitating change, human resource management, performance and quality assurance and monitoring/evaluation. They are characterised by dynamism, interaction and learning. The finding of common ground, generating commitment and ownership among stakeholders is a key aspect of his approaches in facilitating change. He is specialized in large group methods such as future search, open space technology, appreciative inquiry, and others. Dr.Han Rakels has worked for governments, universities, NGOs and in the private sector. As a leader and manager he has experience in resource mobilization and he has worked and faced very diverse and polarized groups or institutions. In more than twelve years of international work, he has built up a reputation of being innovative, creative and surprising in his approaches. |
